Jaydie's foundation creates opportunities for organizations and individuals to be involved with and fund programs that provide comfort, hope and emotional assistance to children who suffer from tumors, cancer and other blood disorders.
We are solely committed to raising money and supporting programs that benefit children. through our all volunteer organization, this is accomplished through a variety of community events that we organize and set up or through the events of other worthy charities.
We have made partnerships and commitments to a few local organizations that we donate 100% of the proceeds of these events to. The organization we have chosen, directly benefit the children of Arizona. We have decided to earmark our funds for programs that offer comfort, peace, and practical support to Arizona’s children and their families. We pride ourselves in a very personal and involved approach.
Wherever possible, we like to take part in “delivering” our services to the actual recipients to ensure that our efforts get to where they are needed most. This is how we can be sure our supporters’ dollars are going to the right places.
Our largest benefactors are the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and the Arizona Chapter of the Make A Wish Foundation. In December 2012, we were able to give Make a Wish $50,000 to sponsor wishes in 2013. Furthermore, we were able to give $100,000 to Phoenix Children’s Hospital and are on schedule to fulfill our commitment to raise $1,000,000 for the hospital by 2016.
The Jaydie Lynn King Foundation is a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization (Federal Tax ID 03-0595939).
Arizona’s only comprehensive program for childhood brain and spinal cord tumors
The Jaydie Lynn King Neuro-oncology Program at Phoenix Children's Hospital is the only comprehensive pediatric program of its kind in Arizona, combining the expertise of subspecialists in the Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children's and the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD). We offer family-centered, multidisciplinary, coordinated care to provide hope, healing and the best healthcare for children and their families.
Highly trained, experienced team – all in one place
At Phoenix Children’s Hospital, our experts in oncology, neurosurgery, research, nursing, radiology, psychology, nutrition, rehabilitation, social work and more, make sure our patients get the highest level of care all in one location. Our staff works with specialists at the Hospital to coordinate our patients’ care and minimize stress for the family.
Access to the most current therapies available
Research provides patients with the best, most up-to-date treatments for their illnesses and identifies and evaluates new treatments to help future children. At Phoenix Children's, this translates into cutting edge care and access to the most promising new options.
The CCBD is a member of Pediatric Oncology Experimental Therapeutics Investigation Consortium (POETIC), a group comprised of 10 leading pediatric cancer centers in North America that conduct Phase I clinical trials. Phoenix Children’s is the only location in Arizona where these advanced treatments are available. Phase I clinical trials are used in people who have cancer that cannot be treated effectively with standard treatments or for which no standard treatment exists.
The Hospital is also a member of the Children’s Oncology Group, offering the same Phase II and Phase III trials available at other leading children’s hospitals across the country.
